PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In a society that focuses mostly on the visual, we want to explore how the lack of sight can actually be seen as a benefit to experience the world instead of a disadvantage. We believe that if we take the needs of people with visual impairment as our guideline, it will give us a more connected relationship to sensory experiences to all types of users which we think are lacking in contemporary architecture.
The goal of this master thesis is to create a meeting point between the seeing and people with visual impairment. A place that merges the two separate worlds between people with sight and people with blindness and visual impairment together through production and art. The proposal is a Cultural Centre, includes exhibition galleries, workshops, restaurant/café, outdoor performance space, auditorium and offices.

MODEL WORKSHOP
The models we created in the first model workshop was an exploration of concepts of scale and materiality. It was an attempt to get in touch with tactility and get closer to detail. It helped us to understand the concepts of each space that we have in mind and translate them to physical interventions with scale, materiality, and light conditions.
